REQUIREMENTS

● Graduating from Tisdale Middle Secondary School in June 2025
● Greater than 80% average
● Applicant must be accepted into a post secondary program
● One letter of character from one of the organizations the applicant volunteers with or a community group the applicant attributes to
● Scholarship monies must be used for educational purposes

SURROUNDING COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
SCHOLARSHIP - $500

REQUIREMENTS

● Graduating from Naicam, Arborfield, Hudson Bay, Porcupine, Bjorkdale, Carrot River,
Star City and/or Choiceland in June 2023
● Greater than 80% average
● Applicant must be accepted into a post secondary program
● One letter of character reference from one of the organizations the applicant volunteers
with or a community group the applicant contributes to
● Scholarship monies must be used for educational purposes

Application Deadline: May 31st, 2025

CRITERIA

1. Community Involvement
 

70% of the scholarship criteria will be weighted on the applicant's community involvement outside of mandatory school activities.


● List any out of school clubs, groups, organizations, committees, etc. that you have volunteered (participated in without pay) over your high school years. Outline your involvement with the organization including length of involvement, your position in the organization and any leadership activities


● List any volunteering you have done in your community in the past five years and explain how it has helped you grow. Use specific examples such as volunteering for ministries at your church, helping with the Children's Festival, volunteering at Relay for Life, tutoring, helping out at the Senior's Center, volunteering at sporting events, etc.


● List any special recognition, awards and/or honors you have received from your performance in your out of school activities and/or volunteering.


● How many hours do you volunteer per month?


2. Balanced Lifestyle
 

30% of the scholarship will be weighted on whether the applicant is able to maintain a balanced lifestyle while being involved in their community.


● List the extracurricular activities you are involved in at school and outline your
involvement with the organization including length of involvement, your position in the organization and any leadership activities you have had. This may include any extra activities you participate in, including SADD, SRC, 4H, yearbook, drama, sports, etc.


● List any work experiences (a paid job) you have had and briefly explain the skills you
have learned. This may include babysitting, working on a farm, working for a bee
farmer, working at the Co-op, etc.


● List any hobbies or special interests you have. This may include painting, drawing, folk art, hunting, fishing, woodworking, snowmobiling, etc.
